Alter Heidkrug in Kayhude

At Christmas we ordered food here and picked it up on Christmas Day. Very good portions, everything tasted very good 👍 We will definitely stop here after Corona, is easily accessible with a large parking lot and hiking area on the doorstep directly on Segeberger Chaussee😉

The duck leg was probably warmed up and hard. Not really tasty. It's a shame, we weren't actually used to it.

If you want to eat really hearty, you should travel to the "Alter Heidkrug"! You can quickly become a regular here ........ Because whether a delicious meal, a drink with it, great service, cosiness, friendly service and also the price - it is always worth stopping here. And you will also get really full. Simply great !!!!!

The food and the ambience are world class .. The only disadvantage is the service takes forever, even if nothing is going on, which you can accept because the service is always super nice and the food is damn good!

The food was great again. Even after a break for so many years. Today connected with the parrot regulars table of the Parrot Friends North, which takes place every 1st Friday of the month.

A beautiful beer garden that is wonderful to linger in. A huge compliment to the kitchen, I didn't like to eat so fresh and good. The price was great, the service was very nice. Until next time.

Good German cuisine. Seasonal meals are of course also on the menu this year. Always a good idea. You can even take a short walk along the Alster in the vicinity.

DId not get in, but my friend and I were on a bike trip and had a flat tire. The entry had a light on until 21h, it was very convenient for us to fix the bike under the lamp !

My girlfriend and I were looking for a place with German cuisine today and we ended up here by chance. The staff gave us a friendly welcome and (even though it was quite full) found a place for us. Great attention is paid to compliance with hygiene regulations. There was a (limited) Sunday menu, which should certainly ensure that the kitchen is faster when it is busy. (Unfortunately that didn't quite work out) We opted for the heather jug ​​and the knuckle. A good choice. The portion is perfect and well presented and really tasty. German home cooking in the best sense of the word. There was even dessert "because it's Sunday" without it being charged extra. The price / performance ratio is absolutely appropriate. We would love to come back.

A few days ago I was in the restaurant with good friends to be able to enjoy really good German cuisine again. Portions are great!

We spontaneously decided to pay a visit to the restaurant and wanted to sit directly on the terrace through the terrace entrance. Then we were informed by the staff with a very unfriendly tone that we are already the 3rd without mouth and nose protection, who did not wear the mask directly. We had the masks ready for use all the time and the terrace was not full either, so there were no approaches to other guests. You can also kindly point this out to the guests, but with words such as: “You are already the third and I'm slowly fed up” you quickly lose your desire to stay there. Then we thanked and preferred to look for a new restaurant.

Just great !! Good old German cuisine 😋. The soup is a must. After that it becomes difficult to choose, you could actually choose any dish. There is delicious ice cream for dessert. Just try it, the parking lot is right by the restaurant. Inexpensive and nice visit to the Heidkrug .... 👍. We recommend making a reservation while the pandemic is still dominating us.

We were in the Heidkrug to eat goose and were not disappointed. The Heidkrug is a traditional inn and has just such an ambience. I think it's nice and also very fitting. The dishes are good home-made cooking that always reminds a little of grandma and makes you feel good. We always like to come. The service does a good job without being intrusive. Special requests are gladly fulfilled - great.

I've been here a few times either on the way to or back from Hamburg. I've always had excellent food here and the views of the woods surrounding it are great!
